Multiple Youths Charged in Violent Incidents
Several recent arrests across the U.S. involve youths and young adults accused of violent and domestic offenses. In Gainesville, Ga., 18-year-old Sylas Ray Klingseisen was jailed without bond on Sept. 27 and charged with three counts each of aggravated child molestation and incest for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old relative between Dec. 2024 and July 2025; he is due in court Oct. 20. In Gettysburg, a 15-year-old, Zamir Brantley, was charged as an adult after witnesses say he used stainless-steel “knuckle dusters” to knock out a man’s top middle tooth at Rec Park; officers recovered the weapon and charged him with aggravated assault, weapons counts and related misdemeanors. In Westlake, Ohio, Jahard Colon pleaded guilty to felonious assault in an April attack that left a 25-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries and is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 29, while in Plainfield, Ill., 19-year-old Zack T. Plant faces two counts of domestic battery and additional charges and remains in custody ahead of an Oct. 9 court date. In Utica, N.Y., a 13-year-old was arrested after allegedly threatening family members with knives during a domestic dispute that resulted in a female being cut; the juvenile was issued appearance tickets for family court and turned over to another family member.
