The British Menopause Society (BMS) has removed Newson from its register of specialists due to concerns that her prescribing practices did not align with established medical guidelines, leading to a joint safety alert from multiple health authorities. Patients reported symptoms such as thickened womb linings, heavy bleeding, and severe mood swings, with some doses reportedly exceeding the maximum licensed levels.
