Orioles' Rodriguez Faces Setback, Awaits MRI Results

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Grayson Rodriguez has been sent for an MRI after developing soreness in his right shoulder, a setback during his recovery from previous right elbow inflammation. Rodriguez has a history of arm injuries, including triceps, shoulder, and a right lat strain that ended his previous season. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said the team is awaiting MRI results, while general manager Mike Elias noted that Rodriguez has tolerated rehab well and urged caution about the team's injury situation. Rodriguez, the 11th overall pick in 2018, has a 20-8 record with a 4.11 ERA in 43 MLB starts. The Orioles' rotation is further weakened by injuries to other starters, including Kyle Bradish, Tyler Wells, and Albert Suárez. There remains no clear timetable for Rodriguez’s return, adding to the uncertainty facing the Orioles’ pitching staff.
