NWSL Announces 2025 Season Schedule

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has announced its 2025 season framework, featuring a total of 190 matches, an eight-team playoff, and a balanced 26-match schedule for each of the 14 clubs. The season kicks off with the NWSL Challenge Cup on March 7, where the Washington Spirit will face the defending champion Orlando Pride, a rematch of the 2024 championship. Regular season matches will begin on March 14 and will avoid FIFA windows to accommodate international competition, with a break from June 23-29 and the entire month of July for major tournaments. The regular season concludes in early November, leading to the NWSL Championship on November 22, which will be broadcasted on CBS. This year's schedule also reflects updates from the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, which aims to balance players' commitments to both club and country.
