Atari has introduced the Atari 2600 My Play Watch, a smartwatch that pays homage to classic gaming while offering basic fitness tracking features. Priced at $79.99, the watch allows users to play four iconic games—Centipede, Missile Command, Pong, and Super Breakout—using a unique control system that mimics retro gaming hardware. It features a 2.02-inch touchscreen, is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance, and offers no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, emphasizing a distraction-free experience. The design includes customization options like Atari-themed watch faces and vintage sound effects. While the watch includes fitness functions such as heart rate monitoring and step tracking, it intentionally lacks smart features like notifications to maintain its retro appeal.
