Detectives Seek Public's Help in Cerritos Shooting
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is seeking public assistance in identifying two individuals seen near the site of a fatal shooting in Cerritos. The victim, 66-year-old Cuauhtemoc Garcia, was shot and killed while walking on the Coyote Creek Bikeway on February 25. Authorities released a surveillance image of a man and woman considered persons of interest in the case. Despite extensive investigations, no clear motive or suspect has been identified, prompting detectives to request help from the public. Individuals with information are urged to contact LASD detectives or anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Garcia was known to be a businessman engaging in fitness walking at the time of his death.
