Louis scored 97 and Athanaze 90, forming a crucial 140-run partnership for the fourth wicket after the team struggled early, falling to 25-2. Both players showcased impressive resilience; Louis faced 218 balls while Athanaze hit 90 off 130, with the latter being praised by Brian Lara for his talent. Louis fell to a poor shot while attempting to reach three figures, edging a delivery from Mehidy Hasan Miraz into the slip. Athanaze soon followed, caught off Taijul Islam, leaving Justin Greaves and Joshua Da Silva to finish the day not out. The West Indies will look to build on this momentum in the following sessions.
