Initially, Tel had rejected a move to Spurs, holding out for interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, but ultimately opted to join Tottenham amid injuries affecting their squad. He has made 14 appearances this season for Bayern, finding limited playing time, which likely influenced his decision to seek a loan. Reports confirm that for Spurs to activate the permanent transfer option, Tel must consent to it. This move provides Tottenham with a much-needed attacking option as they sit 14th in the Premier League.
