Manny Pacquiao Enters Boxing Hall of Fame

Manny Pacquiao, the only eight-division world champion in boxing history, has been elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Joining him in the men's modern boxers category are Vinny Paz, noted for his comeback after a severe neck injury, and Michael Nunn, acclaimed in the middleweight and super middleweight divisions. The 2025 class also includes notable figures such as women's champions Yessica Chavez, Anne Sophie Mathis, and Mary Jo Sanders, and influential referees Kenny Bayless and Harry Gibbs. Pacquiao expressed his gratitude, calling the induction a 'wonderful Christmas gift' and an honor to join fellow Filipino legends like Flash Elorde. The selection was made by the Boxing Writers Association of America and international boxing historians, recognizing Pacquiao's impact both in the ring and as a public servant.
