Klassroom Edutech Raises Growth Capital in Funding Round

Klassroom Edutech, an AI-powered education OTT platform based in Mumbai and backed by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, has successfully raised undisclosed growth capital in a funding round led by ah! Ventures. The startup, founded by Alka, Dhruv, and Dhumil Javeri, integrates a hybrid model that combines online education with over 200 offline learning centers, serving over 500,000 students across 600 cities. The funding will be utilized to enhance AI technology, expand content creation, and strategically enter new markets including southern India and international locations like the US and UAE. Klassroom aims to increase its impact through a recent MOU with the Government of Rajasthan to provide skill development courses to 300,000 students across 3,000 schools. The company has demonstrated impressive financial growth, achieving 35% EBITDA and 20% PAT profitability, and is preparing for a potential SME IPO. Shetty’s involvement also includes supporting social initiatives like the Suniel Shetty Scholarship Scheme to aid underprivileged students.
