Man Charged After Driving Into Army Barracks, Damaging Car with Knife

The incident occurred on Saturday at 4:30 PM, prompting police to call in the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team due to comments made by Pellatt, although no explosive threat was found. He faces charges including possessing a knife in a public place, dangerous driving, assault of an emergency worker, and affray. Following his arrest, he was remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court. The police have stated that the investigation is ongoing, but the incident is not being treated as terrorism-related. Fortunately, no one was injured during the episode.
