Apple Adds Major Accessibility Features Across Devices
Apple has announced a comprehensive suite of new accessibility features across its devices, including the introduction of 'Accessibility Nutrition Labels' on the App Store to help users identify key accessibility features in apps before downloading. The company is also bringing its Magnifier tool to Mac, allowing users to zoom in on physical objects and enhance legibility with connected cameras. Newly unveiled is Accessibility Reader, which customizes and reads aloud both on-screen and real-world text, and Apple is expanding Braille support across its platforms. In addition, Apple is advancing technology for users with severe disabilities by supporting brain-computer interfaces to control devices. These updates coincide with Apple's 40th anniversary of accessibility innovation and are being launched ahead of Global Accessibility Awareness Day. The updates underscore Apple’s ongoing commitment to making technology more inclusive.
