Man, 24, dies in Yuen Long knife attack; another injured

A violent knife attack occurred early Wednesday morning in Yuen Long, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old man, identified as Chan, and serious injuries to a 28-year-old man, surnamed Cheng. The victims were reportedly ambushed by a group of seven to eight assailants near the Hi Yip Factory Building around 5:30 am, as they left the premises accompanied by two women. Chan suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital, while Cheng sustained injuries to his back and arms but was conscious during transport. Witnesses reported that the attackers fled in four vehicles following the assault, prompting police to classify the case as murder and assault and initiate an investigation into the motive. The area has been cordoned off for further inquiries, which has led to significant traffic disruptions. Authorities continue to search for the suspects involved in this brutal attack.
