The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team, under coach Dani Busboom Kelly, has started the 2025 season with dominant performances against top-ranked opponents. Nebraska swept No. 6 Stanford 25-13, 25-19, 25-14, showcasing a powerful offense with a .385 hitting percentage and strong defense holding Stanford to .094 hitting. Key contributors included Allie Sczech, who earned her first start with 12 kills, Rebekah Allick who was named MVP with 11 kills and five blocks, and Bergen Reilly who had 36 assists. Earlier, Nebraska also defeated No. 3 Pittsburgh in a four-set match, 25-22, 25-11, 20-25, 25-23, with Harper Murray leading with 15 kills and Andi Jackson earning MVP honors for her 10 kills and eight blocks. The Huskers' defense was formidable in both matches, recording 9 blocks against Stanford and 15 against Pittsburgh, while limiting opposing stars such as Pittsburgh’s Olivia Babcock to low hitting percentages.
