Matthew Muller Charged in 15-Year-Old Assaults

Matthew Muller, the convicted rapist responsible for the 2015 kidnapping of Denise Huskins, faces new charges for two sexual assaults that occurred in 2009. Prosecutors allege that Muller broke into homes in Mountain View and Palo Alto, where he attacked two women, made them drink medications, and attempted to rape them. DNA evidence linking Muller to these crimes was discovered on straps used to bind one of the victims. Currently serving a 40-year sentence for the 2015 kidnapping, Muller has been charged with two felony counts related to the new allegations, which could result in life imprisonment.
