Muskogee DA Larry Edwards Found Dead at Home

Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Edwards was found dead in his home on May 12 following a police welfare check, with authorities stating no foul play is suspected. Edwards had been appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt in October 2021 and was later elected in 2022. Community leaders, including State Sen. Avery Frix and Gov. Stitt, expressed condolences and highlighted his dedication to justice and public safety. The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death.
