Xavien Howard Retires; Colts Promote Trey Washington

Veteran cornerback Xavien Howard announced Wednesday that he is retiring after starting four games for the Indianapolis Colts; the team placed him on the reserve/retired list and elevated safety Trey Washington to the active 53-man roster.
