Eagles Sign Smael Mondon, Three More Draft Picks

The Philadelphia Eagles have become the first team to sign a rookie contract from the 2025 NFL Draft, securing fifth-round linebacker Smael Mondon to a four-year, $4.595 million deal. Mondon, a University of Georgia standout and two-time national champion, posted 201 tackles and seven sacks in college. The Eagles also signed three other 2025 draft picks—quarterback Kyle McCord, offensive tackle Myles Hinton, and outside linebacker Antwuan Powell-Ryland—at the start of rookie minicamp. In addition, nine undrafted rookies, including All-MAC defensive back Maxen Hook and linebacker Lance Dixon, joined the roster. Coaches and management have praised Mondon's intelligence, versatility, and work ethic, expressing confidence in his NFL potential. These signings aim to solidify the Eagles’ roster as they prepare to defend their Super Bowl title.
