Students Shine in Arts and Community Projects
Student creativity and participation in arts and hands-on projects are being celebrated in schools and communities across the US and UK. In Zachary, Louisiana, high school students are exhibiting their work at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum's STEAM Gallery until March 2026 as part of the Talented Arts Program. Joliet Public Schools District 86 in Illinois will hold a student art show in May 2025, featuring over 1,500 pieces of art, live jazz, and notecards with student artwork. Fifth graders at North Street School in Greenwich, Connecticut, have constructed a stick village during recess, fostering creativity and teamwork. In the UK, students at the National Film and Television School have designed new characters for Bekonscot model village, contributing to community heritage. These projects highlight the value of arts education and hands-on learning in nurturing talent and community engagement.
