Lisbon shaken by 4.8 magnitude earthquake, no damage reported

On February 17, 2025, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck near Lisbon, with its epicenter approximately 14 kilometers from Seixal, at 1:24 PM local time. The tremor was felt across Greater Lisbon, particularly in the municipalities of Almada and Sesimbra, but fortunately, no personal or material damage has been reported. The National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority reported that the event had not resulted in any incidents of harm.
