Interview With Vampire Renamed The Vampire Lestat for Season 3 Premiering 2026
The third season of AMC's series Interview With the Vampire has been officially retitled Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat, reflecting a narrative shift to focus on the character Lestat de Lioncourt, who becomes a rock star to reclaim his story. Returning cast members include Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Assad Zaman, with new additions Jennifer Ehle as Lestat's mother Gabriella, Ella Ballentine, Jeanine Serralles, Christopher Heyerdahl, and Damien Atkins. The season draws from Anne Rice's second and third novels, The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned, promising to explore Lestat's rise to fame and complex relationships, including potential hauntings by the character Claudia, played by Hayles despite her character’s death in season two. Showrunner Rolin Jones highlighted the season's ambitious storytelling, and cast members expressed excitement about the musical elements integrated into Lestat's character arc. The new season is currently in production and is set to premiere in 2026 on AMC and AMC+.
