Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri emphasized that compensation is vital for the victim's rehabilitation and recovery, directing the Delhi State Legal Services Authority to provide an additional Rs 9.65 lakh. The court noted the financial struggles of the victim's family, with her mother being the sole breadwinner earning a meager income. The father, who faced charges, committed suicide in 2021, leading to the abatement of the proceedings against him. The ruling underscores the court's recognition of the need for substantial financial support in cases of aggravated sexual assault.
