Yuzvendra Chahal showcased his exceptional bowling skills once again, achieving a nine-wicket haul to guide Northamptonshire to a nine-wicket victory over Leicestershire in the County Championship Division Two. He recorded impressive figures of 4 for 82 in the first innings and 5 for 134 in the second, dismantling Leicestershire's batting order which included top-scorer Scott Currie, who made 120 runs before falling to Chahal. Northamptonshire chased down the target of 137 runs comfortably, with captain Luke Procter scoring 68 not out. Chahal's performance was pivotal in securing Northamptonshire's second win of the season, contributing to a total of 19 wickets in four matches at an average of 21.10.
