Janesville Man Sentenced 18 Years Child Sexual Assault

Two Janesville men were involved in separate cases related to child sexual abuse. Mason Luke Rogers was arrested on multiple counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials and causing a child to view or listen to sexual activity, following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Separately, Brandon Stevens was sentenced to 18 years in prison—10 years of incarceration followed by 8 years of extended supervision—for sexually assaulting his daughter, a crime reported in 2023 that occurred approximately five years earlier. Stevens was found guilty after a bench trial and had previously been convicted of sexually assaulting a teenager at age 22. Prosecutors sought a longer sentence, citing Stevens' lack of remorse and risk to the community, while his defense cited mental health issues and a difficult upbringing. Stevens is required to register as a sex offender for life.
