Fern Britton Returns to This Morning, Promotes New ITV Vet Series

Fern Britton made an emotional return to the ITV daytime show This Morning on June 26 to discuss her new series, Inside the Vet's, which premieres on July 4 on ITV1 and ITVX. The six-part show offers viewers an in-depth look at the vital work of veterinary teams at The Grove Vets in Bristol, covering routine check-ups to emergency surgeries, and highlights the vets' respectful care for animals in vulnerable situations. Fern described the experience as very emotional but noted no pets featured in the series died. During the interview with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Fern also spoke about her latest novel, A Cornish Legacy, which tells the story of a woman rebuilding her life in Cornwall, paralleling Fern's own move to the county in 2020 following her separation from chef Phil Vickery. She expressed excitement about the novel reaching number six on The Sunday Times List shortly after its release. Fern confirmed that life in Cornwall is good and that she is currently working on another book.
