Man Charged With Rape in Dundee

Ryan Masters, a 31-year-old man, has appeared in Dundee Sheriff Court charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl in a Cowgate car park on November 10, 2024. During the brief hearing, he made no plea and was granted bail with conditions including a curfew from 7 PM to 7 AM and a prohibition from entering Dundee city center or contacting the victim. The incident allegedly occurred in the early hours of the morning while the girl was socializing nearby. Police Scotland conducted a forensic examination of the crime scene and had previously appealed to the public for information. No date has been set for Masters' next court appearance as inquiries continue. Detective Sergeant Shaunni Morris thanked the public for their assistance in the investigation.
