UK Government Announces Compensation for Infected Blood Victims

The UK government has announced that families of victims who died as a result of the infected blood scandal will be able to apply for £100,000 in interim compensation starting in October. Interim payments exceeding £1 billion have already been distributed to 4,606 recipients.
