Gout Gout, Kennedy advance to Stawell Gift semifinals

Rising Australian sprint stars Gout Gout and Lachlan Kennedy delivered standout performances in their Stawell Gift debuts, each winning their heats to qualify for the men's semifinals. Gout, running off a 1-metre handicap, clocked 12.31 seconds, while Kennedy, starting from 0.25 metres, posted an even faster 12.23 seconds, making him the third quickest overall. John Evans was the fastest qualifier, finishing his heat in 12.13 seconds.
