Hampton threw Coll’s water bottle containing penalty notes into the crowd and replaced it with her own blank bottle, leaving Coll without her tactical advantage. Hampton kept her own notes on her arm to prevent interference. Despite Coll saving two penalties, Hampton’s two saves helped England win the shootout 3-1.
