DC Studios Announces Clayface Movie Release

DC Studios has officially announced a film centered on the classic Batman villain Clayface, with a theatrical release set for September 11, 2026. The screenplay will be penned by horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan, though a director and lead actor have yet to be confirmed. Clayface is expected to take on a 'horror/thriller/tragedy' approach, diverging from traditional villain portrayals, and will be part of the DC Universe (DCU), as confirmed by co-president James Gunn. In addition to Clayface, an animated film titled Dynamic Duo, focusing on the relationship between Batman and Robin, is scheduled for June 30, 2028. This marks a significant expansion of the DC cinematic offerings, with Clayface set to premiere before Matt Reeves's The Batman Part II. Fans are eagerly anticipating this fresh take on a character that has evolved through various iterations in DC Comics.
