Monster Hunter Wilds, Final Fantasy XIV Announce October Crossover Event

Square Enix and Capcom have announced a crossover event between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter Wilds, set to launch in late September and early October 2025. Monster Hunter Wilds will introduce Omega Planates, a new boss inspired by the infamous Final Fantasy XIV raid boss Omega, along with Chocobo skins for Seikret mounts. Conversely, Final Fantasy XIV's Dawntrail expansion will feature the Monster Hunter Wilds Seikret mount and a trial battle against the Guardian Arkveld. This collaboration marks a continuation of their partnership, following previous crossover events that included the Behemoth and Rathalos monsters. The crossover was revealed at Gamescom 2025 during Opening Night Live by producers Naoki Yoshida and Ryozo Tsujimoto, highlighting the mutual exchange of content between both games. With over 30 million registered accounts, Final Fantasy XIV continues to expand its offerings alongside Monster Hunter Wilds, which has achieved significant sales milestones since its release.
