UGA's Tuggle Arrested, Suspended for Reckless Driving
Nitro Tuggle, a Georgia football receiver, was arrested on March 19 for driving 107 mph in a 65 mph zone, resulting in misdemeanor charges of speeding and reckless driving. He was pulled over on Georgia State Route 10 Loop with his girlfriend as a passenger and nearly exited the vehicle without placing it in park. Following the incident, Tuggle and offensive lineman Marques Easley, who was involved in a separate reckless driving incident, were suspended indefinitely from team activities. The arrests have highlighted ongoing issues within the Georgia football program, which has seen multiple driving-related offenses in recent years. Coach Kirby Smart expressed disappointment in the decision-making of the young players, emphasizing the need for education and discipline. This incident adds pressure on the program, particularly following the tragic deaths of team members in a driving accident earlier this year.
