Texas A&M Favored at LSU; Trey’Dez Green Threat
No. 3 Texas A&M (7-0) travels to LSU’s Tiger Stadium Saturday night seeking an 8-0 start and to snap a 0-6 road skid there since joining the SEC (no road win in Baton Rouge since 1994). LSU (5-2) has underwhelmed at times — averaging roughly 22 points per SEC game and coming off a 31-24 loss at Vanderbilt — but Death Valley’s loud night-game environment and LSU’s strong home-night history make it a daunting test. A key matchup is LSU tight end Trey’Dez Green (6-foot-7), who despite an MCL setback has 15 catches for 210 yards and three touchdowns in three games and presents a major red-zone and jump‑ball threat. A&M coach Mike Elko says the program has closed the physical gap on the road and believes his team can win; the Aggies plan to deploy personnel such as safety Dalton Brooks to limit Green’s impact. With oddsmakers favoring A&M and Brian Kelly under pressure to win for a College Football Playoff push, Saturday’s result carries major postseason and job-implication significance for both programs.
