Two Charged in Detroit Government Building Vandalism

Ramzu Yunus of Highland Park and Angela Tajuan Williams of Maryland have been charged with vandalizing Detroit's Guardian Building after allegedly using a slingshot to damage a glass revolving door early Saturday morning. The pair were apprehended in a gray sedan matching the description of a vehicle sought after a similar incident at the nearby Coleman A. Young Municipal Center, where windows were damaged by a pellet or BB gun one day earlier. Police recovered a handgun, ammunition, a slingshot, and metal pellets from their vehicle. Both suspects face multiple charges, including malicious destruction of a building and weapons offenses. No injuries were reported in either incident. Authorities are continuing to investigate possible connections to additional vandalism at Detroit government buildings.
