Fox Sports is preparing enhanced coverage for Super Bowl LIX, featuring new technologies such as a Sony high-speed 4K camera on Skycam to deliver a more tactical viewing experience. The game will be held on February 9 in New Orleans and will be available for the first time as a free 4K livestream on Tubi, Fox's ad-supported platform, which Fox hopes will attract younger, cord-cutting audiences. In addition to the main broadcast on Fox and other platforms like Telemundo and Fox Deportes, Tubi will host a special pregame 'Red Carpet' show featuring celebrity and cultural insights. The event will coincide with the release of the fourth season of NFL Icons, a documentary series on MGM+ featuring legendary players like Joe Montana and Kurt Warner. This strategic move by Fox, following its 2020 acquisition of Tubi, aims to boost Tubi's visibility and revenue, which has grown significantly to nearly $1 billion annually.
