Kansas City apartment shooting

Eryn D. Holt, 21, has been charged with second-degree murder following the fatal shooting of Adrian Terry, 22, at an apartment building in Kansas City on August 14. The incident occurred during an argument outside the Georgian Court Apartments, where witnesses reported seeing Holt shoot Terry in the chest. Holt attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by police shortly after. Separately, Garrett N. King, 24, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the May 28 shooting of Xavier Townsend-Keith at a bus stop in Kansas City. Surveillance footage showed King firing multiple shots at Townsend-Keith from a vehicle, which had previously been used in an attempt to shoot into the victim's home. Both cases highlight a concerning trend of violent crime in the area, prompting renewed scrutiny from law enforcement and the community.
