European Shooting Stars Honorees for 2025 Announced

The European Film Promotion has announced the ten emerging actors selected for the 2025 edition of European Shooting Stars, which will be presented at the Berlinale from February 13 to 23, 2025, culminating in an awards ceremony on February 17. The selected talents include Marina Makris (Cyprus), Elín Hall (Iceland), and Besir Zeciri (Denmark), among others, all recognized for their promising performances and potential for international careers. The jury, featuring industry experts such as Romanian director Radu Muntean and French actress Ludivine Sagnier, praised the actors for their outstanding work in film and television. This year marks the first inclusion of actors from Cyprus and Montenegro. Each actor will participate in a tailored four-day program supported by the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme, aimed at promoting their careers on a global scale. The initiative has previously highlighted notable actors like Riz Ahmed and Alicia Vikander, underscoring its significance in the European film industry.
