'Dig' Ordered by Peacock from Poehler, Schur
Amy Poehler and Mike Schur are reuniting for 'Dig,' a new comedy series ordered by Peacock and based on Kate Myers' novel 'Excavations.' The story centers on four women at an archaeological dig in Greece, each at a personal crossroads, who uncover a secret that could rewrite history and are drawn into an international conspiracy. Poehler stars, co-writes the pilot with Schur, and serves as executive producer alongside Schur and J.J. Philbin. This marks Poehler's first major live-action TV role since 'Parks and Recreation' ended in 2015 and the duo's first collaboration since then. Several former 'Parks and Recreation' collaborators are involved in the project, heightening anticipation. The series is expected to blend comedy, mystery, and adventure, though no premiere date has been announced.
