DeKalb Library Hosts Multiple August Creative Workshops, Clubs

The DeKalb Public Library is offering a range of creative and educational programs in August for all ages. Adults can join a new Music Appreciation Club on August 6 to share and discuss favorite songs, while teens and adults may participate in a gesture drawing workshop on August 7, featuring costumed model videos and provided materials. The library will also host a free photo and slide digitizing demonstration for teens and adults on August 9, showcasing equipment in the adult computer lab. Younger readers can participate in age-specific book clubs on August 7: Bookworm Barbs for grades K-2 and BARB Book Club for grades 3-5, both featuring engaging stories and activities. Teens in grades 6–12 are invited to a Teen Art Club on August 6 to explore various art materials and projects, with supplies available on a first-come, first-served basis.
