The race saw Piastri endure intense pressure from Leclerc, who struggled with tire degradation in the closing laps, allowing the McLaren driver to maintain his lead. A late collision between Perez and Carlos Sainz triggered a Virtual Safety Car, securing Piastri's win and propelling McLaren to the top of the constructors' championship.
