Multiple flash floods have severely impacted the Ruidoso area in New Mexico, prompting numerous emergency responses and evacuation orders. Emergency officials have reported flooding on several roads, including Cedar Creek Drive and Main Road, and gates to Gavilan Canyon have been closed due to rising floodwaters. The Mescalero Apache Reservation also experienced flooding at key community sites, leading to immediate evacuation orders. The region remains under flash flood warnings and high alert following recent deadly floods that killed three people, including two children, and caused widespread property damage.
