ED Attaches Rs 3,084 Crore Properties in Yes Bank Probe

The Enforcement Directorate provisionally attached more than 40 properties worth about Rs 3,084 crore linked to Anil Ambani’s Reliance Anil Ambani Group under the PMLA through four orders issued Oct. 31, 2025, including his Pali Hill residence and the Reliance Centre on Maharaja Ranjit Singh Marg. Valuations by a government‑registered appraiser put the seized assets at about Rs 3,084 crore, led by a 3.7‑acre Reliance Centre plot in New Delhi valued at over Rs 2,162.74 crore. ED says the action is part of a probe into alleged diversion and laundering of funds raised by Reliance Home Finance Ltd and Reliance Commercial Finance Ltd after Yes Bank invested Rs 2,965 crore in RHFL and Rs 2,045 crore in RCFL during 2017–2019, amounts that turned non‑performing by December 2019 (outstanding Rs 1,353.5 crore and Rs 1,984 crore respectively). The agency alleges money was routed indirectly — including through mutual‑fund‑related channels and Yes Bank exposures — on‑lent to group‑linked entities and siphoned off, and has flagged control failures such as same‑day loan processing and inadequate securities. The action follows CBI FIRs, raids and a chargesheet and included questioning of Anil Ambani; ED said recoveries would ultimately benefit the public and the list of attached assets may expand as investigations continue. The Reliance Anil Ambani Group has not issued a comprehensive statement, though some group firms earlier said the raids had not affected operations.
