Brickyard 400 Returns to Indianapolis Oval

The Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) returns to the oval track for its 30th anniversary, having shifted to a road course from 2021 to 2023. Jeff Gordon, who won the inaugural Brickyard 400 in 1994 and amassed five wins at IMS, remains a prominent figure in NASCAR history. The race's inception was spearheaded by then-IMS CEO Tony George and saw NASCAR's first event at the iconic venue, traditionally reserved for IndyCar races. This year, the event will also feature the Pennzoil 250 for the Xfinity Series. Jimmie Johnson, another NASCAR legend and co-owner of Legacy Motor Club, will compete part-time in the race, with his father serving as a spotter.
