Angel City FC Signs USWNT Midfielder Evelyn Shores Through 2028

Angel City FC has signed Evelyn Shores, a standout midfielder from the University of North Carolina, to a contract through 2028. Shores, who helped lead UNC to the 2024 NCAA Championship and overcame an ACL injury during her collegiate career, is the only collegiate player on the 2025 U-23 U.S. Women’s National Team roster and recently scored a game-winning goal against Germany. She chose to join Angel City mid-2025, impressed by the club's environment and future ambitions under sporting director Mark Parsons and head coach Alex Straus, who envision trophy contention by 2026.
