Man Arrested for Child Abuse After Leaving Toddler in Car at Grand Island Casino

Amilcar Landaverde Roque was arrested in Grand Island, Nebraska, after leaving his 2-year-old child alone in a car for about an hour while he gambled inside the Grand Island Casino Resort. Police responded to reports of child abuse and found the child unattended in a vehicle with the temperature at approximately 55 degrees. Roque initially denied being inside the casino for long, but video evidence contradicted his statement.
