Ocean View Filmmaker's Documentary Showcased at O.C. Festival

The 9th Annual Ocean City Film Festival will showcase 'Eyes of the Fort,' a nine-minute film by Megan Dodson that explores Delaware's fire-control towers and their historical significance during World War II. The film is part of the festival's Historic Film Challenge, highlighting Ocean City's 150-year history, and features insights from the late Gary Wray and Historical Board Member Merritt Cooch about life for soldiers stationed at the towers. These towers, once vital for coastal defense, have been restored and continue to tell their stories today. The film festival will take place from March 6 to March 9, with 'Eyes of the Fort' screening on March 7 at Gold Coast Theater. Dodson, who works as a videographer, aims to capture the essence of local history through her work.
