Zeelo Raises $23M Series B to Expand AI Transport in UK, US, Ireland

Zeelo, a London-based Transportation-as-a-Service provider, has raised $23 million in a Series B funding round led by Blue Earth Capital to expand its profitable operations in the UK and Ireland and accelerate growth in North America. The company uses AI-powered routing software and a virtual transportation management platform to optimize shared bus trips, reduce carbon emissions, and improve commuter efficiency for major employers like Amazon, Barclays, and UPS. Zeelo has delivered over 7 million rides in 2024 alone, with 10 percent of UK trips fully electric and the rest fully offset, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and electrification. The funding will also support further strategic acquisitions following the 2024 purchase of UK competitor Kura, and enable integration with electric and autonomous vehicle providers as Zeelo explores autonomous vehicle pilots for campus and last-mile shuttle services.
