BDO Announces Winners of 6th ESG Awards

BDO has announced the winners of the 6th BDO ESG Awards, recognizing companies that excel in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into their business strategies. This year, the awards saw participation from over 110 listed companies, the highest in six years, with 'Carbon Neutrality' as the central theme. Three companies received the Theme Awards for their outstanding practices in carbon emission reduction and sustainability measures. Andrew Lam, Managing Director of BDO, highlighted the increasing recognition and commitment to ESG among Hong Kong-listed companies since the awards began in 2018. The event underscores the growing role of the private sector in addressing climate change, particularly as 2024 is projected to be the hottest year on record. BDO's efforts aim to enhance corporate awareness of social responsibility and the necessity of sustainable practices.
