Farmer Gifts Pheran to Prime Minister Modi

During a recent rally in Srinagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a traditional Kashmiri pheran, a gift from Irshad Hussain Naikoo, a farmer from Anantnag. Naikoo, who has admired Modi since 2013, faced financial hardships but saved money to create a special gift for the Prime Minister. After selecting the fabric, he cleverly used his father's measurements to craft the pheran, as he did not know Modi's size. Despite his attempts to deliver the gift in person, Naikoo could not gain access to the Prime Minister's residence and opted to send it via courier instead. He later received a call from the Prime Minister's Office confirming that Modi was wearing the pheran during his address in Kashmir, leaving Naikoo elated. This heartfelt gesture showcases the deep connection between the Prime Minister and local communities in Jammu and Kashmir.
