BET+ has confirmed the development of 'Varnell Hill,' a spinoff from the iconic 1990s sitcom 'Martin,' featuring Tommy Davidson reprising his role as the beloved character, Varnell Hill. This series marks the second spinoff from 'Martin,' following the announcement of 'Young Martin.' Set as a workplace comedy, the show will explore the behind-the-scenes antics of a fictional late-night talk show, with Davidson’s character navigating the challenges of staying relevant in a rapidly changing industry. Martin Lawrence, who co-created the original show, will executive produce alongside Bentley Kyle Evans, who will also serve as showrunner. Although Lawrence's appearance on the show is not confirmed, he is expected to make guest appearances.
